We have established our internal sustainability goals in line with the SDGs. These goals serve as our anchor points on the path to 2030 and beyond.
SUSTAINABILITY IS OUR MISSION
Sustainability is one of our four strategic pillars. Our ambition is to fully integrate sustainability into our core processes and business operations by 2030. We actively contribute to making cities more sustainable, reducing our CO2 emissions, promoting a circular economy, and protecting biodiversity.
Our path to 2030
Based on four of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we have a clear plan to achieve our sustainability objectives. Based on these, we have developed four main objectives and 27 sub-objectives, all aimed at a future-proof Sempergreen.
Our Sustainable Efforts and Achievements So Far
Driven by our mission to replant the planet, we work daily on real change. We’re proud of the concrete steps we’ve already taken on our journey toward a greener future.
Solar Power at Our Headquarters
On the green roof of our headquarters, we’ve installed 36 vertical solar panels, making us almost entirely self-sufficient in our electricity needs.
Waste sorting with Renewi/Ecosmart
Together with Renewi, we encourage waste separation in the office. This allows us to reduce residual waste and ensure that as many raw materials as possible remain suitable for reuse.
Circular Substrate
Since March 2025, we include circular substrate as a standard for all projects. It’s how we turn circular thinking into everyday practice.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
We’ve conducted an LCA on five of our main system designs, with the goal of publishing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) soon to increase transparency and improve our processes from within.
Energy-efficient lighting
All our office lighting has been replaced with sustainable LED lighting, a small step with a big effect on energy consumption.

Growing CO₂ absorption every year
In 2024, our green roofs captured an estimated 167 tons of CO₂, and that number keeps growing each year. Every new roof adds to a living network that actively stores carbon, purifies the air and helps cities breathe. A tangible impact that grows with every project.
Every square meter counts
Each square meter of living wall absorbs 2.3 kg of CO₂ per year — working for the planet, day after day. With every new project we deliver, more greenery goes to work capturing carbon, improving air quality and creating healthier places to live.
